Transmission Submarine Cables Project
Background
SRE won a competitive bid on a transmission project bringing more power to the Delmarva peninsula – and providing critical improvements to electric stability and reliability in the region.
To ensure the project’s success, Slice designed and executed a campaign to educate the community and key stakeholders about the power grid and the importance of added transmission.
We kept the lights on
Our early advantage strategies helped our client stabilize a 13-state power grid. Our client was able to proceed with a challenging development project uninterrupted and with public support. Slice made sure the tri-state communities impacted by this development understood and supported the need for a power grid stabilization project.
Impact & Future Direction
The SRE project team presented to more than 20 student groups at Delaware schools and introduced the project at community events via a hands-on display of underwater technology and environmental information.
The project was fully approved and began construction in the Summer of 2019!
