Mike DiStanisloa

HR Manager, Alliance for Decision Education

Michael is the HR Manager for a local educational nonprofit. He has years of experience in the Human Resources space, specializing in a variety of aspects such as Talent Development, Recruiting, and Employee Relations. He also spends much of his time focusing on workplace policies and procedures as well as organizational data and metrics.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Michael has always been passionate and vocal about diversity, equity, and inclusion. He has been involved in culture, engagement, and equality initiatives both inside and outside of the workplace. Some of his proudest accomplishments include: volunteering for workplace advocacy groups, training employees on biases and discrimination, leading employee resource groups, raising thousands of dollars for charities and organizations, and collaborating with historically diverse schools and universities for talent opportunities.

Michael was born and raised in Philadelphia. When he isn’t working, he loves spending quality time with family and friends, finding new music to listen to, and playing sports within the city’s LGBTQ+ league where he also volunteers his time as a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee.

The Diversity Advisory Council (DAC) at Slice Communications is a collective of accomplished leaders from a wide range of industries, backgrounds, and lived experiences. Formed to bring outside perspective and accountability to our work, the DAC helps guide our team in creating more inclusive communications strategies and workplace practices. By engaging with these advisors on an ongoing basis, we’re committed to evolving our thinking, challenging bias, and building a more equitable future for our clients, our team, and our community.
