The three-day B. PHL festival is designed to build the city’s reputation as the most innovative city on the East Coast — a true place of choice for those looking to inspire new ideas, make connections, and ignite novel ways of doing things. Locations around Philadelphia will hold interactive workshops, sessions, exhibits, and events highlighting innovation in fields like health care, technology, engineering, art, music, film, and more.
Why B. PHL?
We need to do a better job of telling the Philadelphia story. There’s amazing innovation happening in and around our region, yet we’re often overlooked for other East Coast cities and have been known as the underdog for too long – no more! This is showing that Philadelphia is a great place to live, work, and play – and there’s a tremendous amount of opportunity happening here.
Our people and organizations are awesome. So we aim to meaningfully connect those resources in order to amplify the impact of innovation. B. PHL provides a stage for everyone doing this kind of work and gives innovators large and small, across all disciplines, a chance to tell their own story and get engaged. We like to say we’re democratizing innovation.
We’re building the future of this city. And we want to be inspired and ignite new ideas and new ways of doing things. Most of the festival will feature innovators from in and around our region – but we’ll also look to hear from some great innovators outside of our region and think about how we translate that work and apply it at home.
