Women’s Entrepreneurship Day is November 19, 2019. Join Slice Communications as we host a StorySlam celebrating the triumphs and tragedies that are all part of being a woman and an entrepreneur. The “open mic” format will provide all in attendance the ability to share their experiences in the format of short, 5-minute stories about what it is like to be in our shoes. Speakers can sign up in advance or participate if the moment moves them. Our community will support and inspire each other as we continue to develop as business owners.

What is the format of the night?
Cocktails will begin at 5:30 pm. At 6:00, we will open the platform. Speakers who have registered in advance will be scheduled for 6-minute increments to tell their stories. A microphone will be provided, but is not required. Storytelling will end at 8:00 pm.
What should I talk about?
It is your story, so speak from the heart. You may want to talk about why you started the business, what inspired you to become an entrepreneur, the moment when you doubted your ability to keep your business going, or the reason why you get up every morning. Keep it short, include as many details as you can, and don’t be afraid to identify the emotions that are at the root of your personal experience.
Can I bring guests?
Yes! Be sure to bring guests that have supported you in your entrepreneurial journey and care about the female entrepreneurial community. Please note that all guests must also purchase tickets.
