Johanna Doble
Operations Supervisor

For the last 10+ years, Johanna has co-owned and managed several rental properties and worked various full-time jobs, all while pursuing her higher educational goals. She studied at Morgan State University and the University of Maryland Honors College for biology and management, until she realized that spending all of her time in an isolated lab was just not conducive to her love of socializing and helping people. Utilizing her entrepreneurial strengths in business, education and management, coupled with her love of food, she found her temporary niche in the food service industry. Over the next several years, she excelled and expanded from small to large-scale management, working in conflict resolution, networking and sales. Always positive, willing and ready for the next challenge, Johanna welcomes this new chapter in her professional development as she enters the world of public relations and social media. As Slice Communications’ Operations Supervisor, her focus is building upon the existing day-to-day procedures for maximized efficiency as the agency grows. Outside of the office, Johanna is quite the foodie (both in the kitchen and out), loves to row, lift weights, and learn about nearly anything.

Jackie Freiberg
Social Media Account Manager

Always looking to use her communicative and creative side, it wasn’t long until Jackie Freiberg figured out she wanted a career in social media. Throughout college, she spent her time studying communications, “browsing” social networks and working at a radio station doing everything from writing stories and co-hosting, to keeping up their social presence. Soon after, she joined a marketing team outside of the city, tackling new challenges and laying a professional foundation. Jackie joined the Slice team at the end of 2013, continuing her love for social media, while enjoying the company of friends and family, meeting new people, and exploring new places in the City That Loves You Back.

Jenni Glenn

Jenni Glenn
Public Relations Account Supervisor

Jenni brings more than 15 years communications experience in entertainment, e-commerce, consumer products, cable/broadcast and nonprofit organizations to Slice Communications.  After studying communications at Rowan University, she began her career as an editor at a music trade magazine in Great Neck, NY.

However, after four years on the other side of the fence in the publishing biz, her passion for PR drove her into the heart of NYC where she led the PR team for the BMG-owned Milan Entertainment record label.  Two years later, when Milan made its move to Hollywood, Jenni opted to stay on the east coast and joined the PR team for CDNOW, Inc., which was – at the time – the second-largest Internet retailer behind Amazon. Over the next several years, she held various manager and executive level positions at some of the country’s most recognizable businesses, including the multi-billion dollar QVC Inc. and the iconic Miss America Organization.

Jenni joined Sprout (NBCUniversal’s preschool television channel) in 2006 and spent the next seven years as head of communications for the network, most recently in the role of vice president of communications and marketing.   While there, she built Sprout’s communications department from the ground up and developed a solid reputation for the start-up channel with both consumer media and cable trades as an innovator and leading children’s television network.  She also acted as the network’s main media spokesperson and was a member of the senior executive team for Sprout, handling all internal and external communications, show publicity, talent relations, social media, crisis communications, prosocial and viewer services.

When Jenni isn’t chasing that perfect pitch for her clients, she is running after her three adopted dogs (two pitbulls and a terrier schnauzer).  A huge advocate for animal welfare and rescue, Jenni volunteers for local no-kill animal shelters and organizations specializing in the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of pitbulls who have been abused or abandoned.

She also worked as a teacher and tutor for nearly 12 years, helping dozens of students take the SATs and apply to college.

Outside of work, Alisa enjoys reading contemporary American and British fiction, traveling to see friends in other cities, devising all-day cooking challenges, visiting museums, and seeing her many nieces and nephews. Mason Luvera
Public Relations Account Manager

If you ask any of Mason’s friends, they will tell you that they couldn’t picture him in any other career.  Obsessed with the ins-and-outs of communication and the art of using it, Mason lives his life “as if PR depended on it.”

A graduate of Western Washington University where he completed a dual degree in Public Relations and Journalism, Mason is a self-proclaimed PR industry advocate. He is heavily involved in the Public Relations Society of America, and founded Western’s university chapter when he was a student there.

With experience as a higher education communications director, alongside agency positions at a branding house and a public relations firm, Mason brings a wealth of integrated communications knowledge to Slice. His work includes managing several high-stakes organizational crises, spearheading and leading a marketing overhaul turned re-brand, and utilizing his keen media understanding to secure coverage for clients.  Mason is also personally involved in the media industry as a strong proponent of public relations ethics and education, and is a frequent university guest lecturer on cultural and crisis communications. His professional interest areas include public diplomacy, consumer branding, and the intersection of media and organizational change.

When not hammering out emails on his BlackBerry (which yes, he loves), you’ll find Mason cooking up one of his Nonna’s classic recipes before scoping out a new bar or shop around Philly.  Mason moved to Philadelphia from Seattle, bringing with him an unmatched coffee intake and a bit of west coast charm.  A proverbial “gearhead meets designer,” Mason loves all things cars, fashion, architecture and industrial design.
