Slice Communications was tasked with garnering media coverage for Butler Technologies surrounding their heating material that was integrated into Team USA’s uniform for the 2018 Winter Olympic Jacket. The true challenge was how to make a material tech company relatable and relevant while leveraging the excitement surrounding the world’s largest sporting event.
Although on a tight, one month timetable, Slice saw ample opportunity to put Butler Technologies on the map by leveraging the world’s largest stage. Team USA wore their uniform jackets during the Opening Ceremonies and with that Slice actively engaged national and trade media focused on manufacturing, design, and technology. We identified Butler Technologies as the first and only woman-owned American manufacturer designing disruptive products with printed electronics. We expanded the coverage horizon by tapping into Butler’s long-standing relationships with companies like DuPont.
Even with a limited time frame to execute, Slice was able to excel and achieve our goals. The resulting coverage positioned Butler Technologies as a thought leader in the manufacturing, tech, and electronics media industry. Coverage included Ink Magazine and WBENC.
