Slice Communications, Comcast Announce Social Media Day 2017 Speakers

Annual event also offers new attendee, exhibitor, and sponsorship opportunities

April 20, 2017 (Philadelphia, PA) – Slice Communications, a communications agency aimed at getting people to pay attention, today announced the headline speakers at Mashable’s Social Media Day in Philadelphia. The event, which is presented by Comcast, will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at the Jewish American Museum in Old City Philadelphia. This year’s keynote speaker will be Ben Blakesley, Director of Global Social Media at Reebok. Blakesley’s role includes building community and brand affinity through personal interactions, engaging content, campaigns, and social activations around the world. Tickets for Social Media Day are available online and range from $125 – $200.

“We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with Comcast to bring Mashable’s Social Media Day back to Philadelphia,” said Cassandra M. Bailey, CEO of Slice Communications. “The speakers we’re bringing this year are world-class, and we know they will share insights and experiences our social media community wants. Last year’s event surprised us by selling out almost a month in advance, and if this year’s early bird sales are any indication we expect the same.”

Featured speakers will be Sean Lauer, Industry Lead at Twitter and Peter Weinberg, Strategist at LinkedIn.

Other high-profile speakers include Matthew Dickman, Head of Digital at Comcast; Amanda Lange, Technical Evangelist at Microsoft; Laura Carlucci, Senior Manager of Integrated Marketing at Wall Street Journal; Elizabeth Samet, Vice President of Branding and PR at Destination Maternity; Laura Wilson, Director of Digital Engagement and Social Media at Georgetown University; and Ross Hollebon, Director of Content at USA Football.

This year, Social Media Day in Philadelphia will offer a ticketed VIP experience for the first time. The $200 ticket will include an invitation to an exclusive preview party with speakers and sponsors, access to intimate fireside chats the day-of with industry leaders including Matthew Dickman from Comcast, and a private lunch with selected speakers.

There are also limited remaining opportunities for companies who are interested in sponsoring or exhibited at Social Media Day in Philadelphia.
