With three decades of media and public relations experience including six years as a Philadelphia broadcast news producer, Kristi Hughes is part of the Slice PR strategy team.

Kristi uses her media savvy to work alongside her clients to develop media-ready material articulating their message and appropriately representing their brand—generating goodwill with employees, the public, and the community.

She has experience developing strategic marketing plans for client initiatives, events, product launches, and re-branding campaigns, but her extraordinary challenges as a cancer survivor and widow have gifted her with empathy, wisdom, and grit that only a few possess.

After the untimely death of her husband, Dr. Sean Hughes, Principal of Lower Merion High School, in November of 2021, Kristi assembled a team to honor him that focuses on raising funds that will benefit Lower Merion students for decades to come. This project includes an on-campus memorial garden for quiet reflection and an outdoor amphitheater for outdoor learning and presentations. As President of The Sean Hughes Memorial Fund, Kristi has also completed funding the 25-year “Sean Hughes Character Counts Scholarship” through the Lower Merion Township Scholarship Fund. This is a needs-based scholarship, with particular consideration given to a child who has lost a parent.

When she is not working, Kristi enjoys spending time with her three children, riding horses, reading, and traveling. Kristi holds a B.A. from Rosemont College, in Villanova, PA.
