Director of Client Service

Leo Manning is the Director of Client Service at Slice Communications. In his role, Leo works to develop the accounts team by guiding their individual strengths and coaching them through challenges. Through this work, he ensures the quality of client deliverables and focuses on achieving strategic success, allowing client communications to slice through the noise (and yes, that pun was intentional).

Discovering his interest in visual storytelling through an early 2000’s greeting card making software, Leo immersed himself into this passion during a summer photography program at the University of Notre Dame in his junior year of high school. Since then, he’s focused on helping businesses and nonprofits identify how diverse types of content can tell a complete story and reach target audiences where they are.

Starting in 2018 as a Graphic Design Intern, Leo has continuously moved up through positions in email marketing, digital strategy, and social media, providing him with cross-functional experiences that support him as the Director of Client Service. In his day-to-day role, Leo focuses on the positive side of any situation. This often means working side-by-side in the trenches with clients and ensuring that they have everything they need to succeed. And this also means working hand-in-hand with the accounts team, as both a sounding board for any obstacles and extra support to ensure they have everything needed to do their best work.

In addition to his client-focused work, Leo is active in the Philadelphia communications community. He has worked for several years on Social Media Day PHL, a nonprofit and conference focused on connecting and engaging the Greater Philadelphia community of marketers, where he helps coordinate speakers and sponsors, marketing materials, and event production. He also volunteers with the Philadelphia Public Relations Association as the Vice President of Communications, working to support communications professionals across Philadelphia.

Outside of work, Leo loves finding all of the best places to eat in Philadelphia (currently, that list includes Terakawa Ramen for dinner and Sampan for happy hour). You may also find him practicing his photography around Philadelphia and his other favorite travel destination, Ocean City, Maryland. Finally, if you don’t find him in any of these places, check your local theatre or concert venue – he’s probably at another musical or concert.
