Mary McCusker joined Slice Communications in April of 2022 and serves as a Content Manager, a role that allows her to focus on what she loves the most professionally: creativity, content, and clients. For the past six years, she’s enjoyed the challenge of meeting and exceeding clients’ goals, as well as tapping into her versatile skillset by creating written and visual content. She excels in graphic design, writing, copyediting, and storytelling.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Saint Joseph’s University, Mary lived and worked in South Korea as a teacher before starting a career in the world of marketing and communications. Her work has been recognized by the Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada in 2019 when she was awarded “Best Campaign Initiative” for a world-wide campaign, “Share the Journey”, which aimed to support refugees, migrants, and displaced populations. She was recognized again in 2020 with a “Best Coverage of Immigration” award. Mary was named a “Photographer of the Year” finalist by the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center in 2014, and she won first place in New Jersey’s “Shore Memories” State Calendar photography competition, hosted by the New Jersey Tourism Bureau.
When she’s not working, she’s outside enjoying nature with her dog and her camera or volunteering at local nonprofits in Southern New Jersey.
